Foundation and geotechnics

Geotechnics is the backbone to our project focus, and we have a large, dedicated team to support the delivery of underground works for projects which are located around globe. We have extensive experience in providing feasibility studies, tender design, detailed design, technical reports, due diligence works as well as supervision. We are also well respected in delivery of geological model development which allows our clients to understand ground risk.

Our integrated approach to handling geotechnical engineering problems draws on the diverse experience of our specialists. Our knowledge covers the majority of geotechnical engineering challenges and to a high quality.

Structural engineering

Our structural engineering team complement the work conducted by our ground engineering services. Our team contributes to the delivery at all stages of design and construction. Our engineers are conversant in the latest software tools and conduct this in 2D and 3D environments. Our primary focus is on the delivery of reinforced concrete design whether in-situ or precast and provide support to construction teams on site during design implementation or technical changes.

Tunnelling

We’ve contributed to the design delivery of several high-profile projects which include tunnelling elements including, recently, Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel (USA), High Speed 2 (UK), Vancouver Broadway Metro (Canada) and Tarbela 5 hydropower project (Pakistan).

Our team is able to support tunnel design at all stages from has worked on tunnels of stages from tender design, to detailed design and construction support services. We have a reputation for providing innovative and practical solutions on time, under challenging deadlines.

BIM and CAD software

With leading edge expertise in a wide range of engineering-purpose software, we provide optimised solutions with enhanced performance and greater predictability.

Our staff possess decades of experience in drawing and design, automated or batch processing, full 3D modelling and in building information modelling (BIM) environments.

We have full access to all discipline-specific Autodesk or Bentley software applications through our corporate license.

GIS

Our GIS team have experience in a wide range of GIS services including land parcel mapping, crop classification using satellite imagery, surveying, processing and analysing LIDAR data and point clouds, water and wastewater pipeline and infrastructure database management.

Examples of projects from our GIS portfolio supporting the Mott MacDonald Group: HS2, TTT (Thames Tideway Tunnels), DEFRA Noise Modelling project, Land referencing and SQL database upload tasks, Fens Reservoir and South Lincolnshire Reservoir projects.

Environmental advisory

Our environmental team holds all expert certificates required for undertaking environmental assessments. So, we guarantee outstanding quality in the production and presentation of documentations in short timeframes.

Examples of projects from our comprehensive environmental advisory portfolio in Hungary include metro and urban railway schemes (e.g. Danube Railway Tunnel, H7 surface extension, M3 reconstruction and extension, Nepliget Railway Station), motorways (e.g. M1 widening to 2x3 lanes, M5xM8 junction, M76, Paks-Kalocsa Danube bridge) as well as major greenfield manufacturing developments such as the BMW car manufacturing plant in Debrecen, SK Innovation’s Li-ion battery production in Komarom, GIANT’s bike manufacturing plant in Gyongyos and Doosan’s copper foil production plant in Tatabanya.
